With all due respect to those who live in Florida,
you can have my share and God bless.

I'll stay here in PA.  Yes, we do get some cold temps
in winter with a bit of snow from time to time. However,
after cleaning the snow I know my house will still be
there.  Not so with a hurricane.

Also, I can do without the heat, humidity, swarms of
bugs, red tide, etc.  You have a wonderefull place to
visit but I would not want to line there year around.

In this vast, beautiful country (in which I have travelled to 49 out of 50 states), each state and region has good and bad points.

And such variety means that there is something for everyone, depending on individual preferences and priorities. We all have our likes and dislikes.

Just like a CLC GN, as Jason sums up.

I've been to three GN's and enjoyed all of them. I enjoy the rest in pictures. Not like being there, but it'll do for now.

Mike Santos I *NEVER* said I had any reservations about attending the GN, ever. Though I appreciate the tower clamp crowd, not everyone shares that level of zeal. I'm looking forward to attending a GN at some point with The Ark in Touring Class (22?). What I have mentioned, Jason, are ways for any club, car to stamp collecting, to expand their membership and participation based solely on experience with other clubs.

Yesterdays show was well attended, though only 4 other Cadillacs.

I voted for the 1930 V-16 Coupe, though the '58 Eldorado was also a contender.

My favorite was the 1936 Waco Bi-wing, followed by the quartet of WWII-era SNJs.

The Piper Cubs were brilliant. Seemed like they could take off and land in less distance that the entire length of my '61.

Oooops, not Cadillacs...

25 miles each way hardly warms the engine up.

Mike, Laurie,

As others have posted, GN is fun and there is something for everyone.  You know I'm right there with you on the tower clamps.  There is something for everyone.

Here is how I enjoy GN:

1.  Looking at all the other Cadillacs is probably #1 for sure, especially the ones with tower clamps.
2.  The drive there is awesome.  If I can make it in a day, like say under ten hours I will drive it both ways.  For GN 2020 it is past my limit, and I will fly.
3.  Enjoy meeting up with all my friends in the club.
4.  The Saturday night banquet is fun
5.  Always look for a DDD restaurant to eat lunch at.
6.  Most of the hotels have a pool, and that is blast

I do register my Cadillac as a display only and it gets parked in the show field along with the other nice Cadillacs of P22.  After all there is no GN if people do not bring a Cadillac or LaSalle.

I never participate in bus tours/events of any kind, because do not like buses.

Plus of course you can brag that you drove to GN over the summer as I did in answer to this post.  Hope to see you at GN 2020!

Busy summer:

- Fixed the RH exhaust rubber filler piece to the exhaust port.  The car was chugging and you could see exhaust leaking out of the bumper instead of the port.
- Fixed the loose rearview mirror (yes, you can't squeeze them together to make the mirror insert tighter....I broke mine and had to replace the mirror support.
- Took Best in Show at the 2019 AOH Car Show in Virginia Beach for the 1956 Limousine
- Got the LH windows working on the 1949 limousine and brought it to the AOH car show where it took 3rd place.

I did 3 car shows this summer. And thank you Laurie for giving me my primer course on how to prep for the show. I also did a few cars and coffee events. I realized I like the cars and coffee events better than the shows. I just don't have the patience to spend 6 hours at a show. So it will just be cars and coffee events and weekend cruising for me.

Summer arrived today.   Going to be 28C here, then back to Winter tomorrow, with a forecast of 17C and rain.

At least I got one car wheel aligned, and had the AC on full driving home, so now staying inside out of the heat, for the rest of the day.

Glad I was able to help. The shows are fun, just a LONG day, and more people to see your car and hang out.
Car's & Coffee/Cappuccino events can be fun depending on who's hosting them. Some can be wall to wall euro trash
and tuners. Cruising is ALWAYS best, you are your own car show.
