Le Cabriolet

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know whether the window glass has to be removed from the door in order to mount a new outside window belt sealing strip on a 1979 CDV (passender side)? I can`t roll it down far enough to access the screws the sealing strip is attached with. Interestingly, removing the down stop doesn`t change window travel...

This might be a special case as I am working on a "Le Cabriolet" conversion, but I assume the passenger window is stock, so any advice might be helpful!

My recollection of doing it on my 79 was that the window stop (lower) has to be removed (or loosened) so the window can go down a bit more.
