Hope this is a Great Year for all.
Would like to know what the metal pieces I'll I attempt to describe are named.
Remove the door sill scuff plate and below the carpet is a piece of metal about 30" long and about 6" wide.
The car is back in Florida and I do not have pics.
No mention of them in the Shop Manual.
Thanks in advance.

I don’t know the “official” name, but I’ve always referred to them as body wiring channel covers.  If you need them I’ve got a set of straight rust free ones.

David,
Thanks for getting back as well as your insight.
Today is moving day for my son's Caddy from his home garage to his friends shop about 20 miles away so my son and his friend can install the wiring harness and most likely the 390 taken out and gone through. The "plan" is to have it taken to the Upholoster on it's way home to have the "innards" installed.
As for the "parts - body wiring channel covers" you have I don't know how many many there are on the '59, how many do you have and what would the cost be?
I'm sure my son will update me on the move tonight. I can get back with you then.
My 3 year old grandson is probably already up in anticipation of "helping".
Later today I'll post pictures of the chrome we picked up the day after Christmas from the Chromer in Melbourne, Fl. who in addition to a Chromer in Austin ( CenTex) that have both done great jobs.
