Does anyone know what the recommended psi is at the gear box for a 1953? I thought I read somewhere between 750 to 900 psi was recommended.... But I can't find where i saw that at.
Thanks for the help

Do you have a factory service manual?  If you do, the specs should be in there.  If you do not, you need to get one, as it will answer most of the questions you may have.  Factory Service Manuals are usually readily available on Ebay or Amazon, or just Google what you are looking for, and usually sources will come up.

Here is a thread from a few years back that talks about the 1953 power steering pressure and some problems with rebuilding the pump.

A YouTube video of Tye Cowan, in the above thread, checking the pressure on his 1953 after the pump rebuild:

Just checked the 1953 supplement. 750 psi. max. internal pump relief valve will open between 750-900 psi. max pressure is 750 psi with the steering wheel held tight against the stops. Normal driving, the pressure would be less.
