Hello!

If someone dealt with 1980`s cadillacs, they have long steel panels inside, above the doors. They are made of steel, painted with a special "wrinkle" paint, that imitates leather.

Unfortunately, those panels in my car went corroded:

My car is a factory limousine, and I can`t find these as spare parts (they are a bit larger than those from sedan). What is possible to be done to restore it?

Thanks.

Are you certain that the "wrinkle" is part of the paint, and not a texture or grain which is stamped into the metal?

Believe Charles is right, I have some interior trim pieces on my Bonneville that have a texture or grain stamped into the metal, it's not the paint.

I believe like the others said, the texture is in the metal. You should be able to strip them, treat the rust and then refinish.

I believe those are the headliner border trim moldings and yes, the texture is impressed into the parts.
