My Cadillac salesman turned me on the the Cadillac Society newsletter. Its an off-shoot of the GM Authority newsletter.
It provides new Cadillac product related information every few days or so. I found it interesting. With many of us sheltering in place, I though you might find it of interest.  Its free, and informative

Glenn,  Good call.  I signed up several months ago, and some of the reporting is very engaging and informative. The Newsletter attempts to cover all of the new initiatives, and right now, the EV models that are being designed.  There's also "space" for readers to comment on older models, but at this point, there hasn't been too much input. The writing and pictures are nicely produced and well presented.   Thanks for posting about it.  James

I have to chuckle at the sudden mention of "Soft-close doors" being new and that owners wouldn't go back to the old way once they got used to them.

Cadillac did that years ago, in "Soft-close Trunks."   That was a horizontal "Door".

Some things are never new.

Thanks to Glenn for posting this link and story.  I've been getting those e-mails from Cadillac Society almost daily for quite some time. Some are interesting and informative.

Here is one that CLC folks might like to review:

This is apparently the successor to the Dare Greatly campaign.  It doesn't float my boat, perhaps because I'm no longer in my 20s... Sigh...

John,

:Perhaps the problem with the lack of appeal of this ad campaign is the "Utility" element of the SUV.  Inherently, they are utility vehicles, and, in part defined by being a large box on four wheels, and they don't seem to me to be possessions I'd risk breaking my neck, jumping out a window, crashing through a bookcase, or running down a city street to own. Of course, we recall the ad campaigns "of old" associated with "arriving" at an exclusive place of entertainment-- arriving at a place where one wishes to "see and be seen," and arriving in a Cadillac had all of the connotations of being a member of that exclusive culture, club, or audience.  Happy day, James
