Would someone tell me where the large wire from the compressor pigtail connects to.  It has been cut and left dangling in nowhere by someone last time car was in the shop.  Can't find the other end of the wire which is the larger one of the two. Many thanks, john

One wire is the ground and the other is 12 volts from the control head. Not quite sure of which end of which wire is unknown from your post

The two wires should be the same gauge, but different colors. The ground might go to the coil hold down clamp. That's where it goes on the 68s. The positive goes back through the firewall. Check the schematics in the Shop Manual for details.
