Hi,
On my 365 engine both cylinder heads are casting no. 146 5431-2. According to different sources that LH heads (RH side should be 146 5406).
Engine is running just fine.
Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the two castings? (The part numbers are 363 0754 (LH) and 363 0755 (RH))
Thanks,
Kurt

I wouldn't worry over this.
Casting # mystique and hearsay is worst than bigfoot or Nessie.
It's just the identifier for internal designation for parts control.
If they were the same part, they would not fit.   There's a left and a right as the part numbers attest.

You are right - the heads are of course handed in that they are drilled/machined differently for water pump connections and the water temp sensor (RH head). other than that I think they are identical. You will find many references on the internet showing two different castings.
Case closed :)
