after chasing gremlins and remaking the entire driver door to body harness i am down to the wiper switch which is corroded where the 15 ohm wire wound resister is riveted to the brass or copper slides.. tested, no connection.. i could try soldering but i'm pretty sure the thermoplastic would melt at the 350 F. heat needed to melt the solder..

SO, i'm now seeking a replacement switch which would be good and not corroded.. :)

failing a replacement switch i'll take mine to a jeweler i know and see if he can redo the tiny copper rivets and clean it all up.. or i'll see if i can find new rivets and rebuild the switch, myself..

thanks

Perhaps you should post this in the "parts wanted" section.  Also look on eBay.

since another member replied with an offer of one i'll see what his looks like BUT, thanks for the ebay comment..
i forgot about checking with ebay..
only thing with some of the offerings there is knowing how far along those switches might be toward failure since this looks to me like another engineering failure..
dis-similar metals in a wet environment..
wet = rain landing on switch when door opens..
prices seem to be all over the place..
