In regards to my recently acquired 66 Fleetwood, I'm wondering if the front vent window weatherstrips can be replaced without taking the glass out?

I had really bad wind noise so I replaced the original weatherstrips on the B pillar and that fixed that issue so of course made me far more aware of the right front vent window wind noise.  Left side isn't nearly as bad, but I want to replace both.

Has anyone replaced these on a 65 or 66 before?

If anyone has done it, it would be Ralph Messina.  Maybe he will come by soon.

I don't know why I didn't think of him.  I'm buying some parts off him anyways, so yes, I need to talk to him.

I'm sure he's done these before.  He'll know.

One by one I'm getting the issues taken care of.  Another $10k or so should do it  ;D

You need to remove the glass assembly.  There is a hole in the bottom of the weatherstripping that the glass assembly goes through.  Chuck

Thanks.  That makes sense now that I think about it.  I'll hold off until I have to open it up anyways to replace the vent window gear.
