1975 Fleetwood Eldorado Convertible Body Tag Question

77 11R PNT

Paint Code 77 is Roxena Red and next to it is code "11R," does that stand for Cotillion White Roof?

Thank you.

On the convertible the  77 11R  PNT    translates to Roxena red with a white top and body side moldings.

Remember on the Eldorados the body side moldings have a painted insert.   So the 11 is Cotillion white painted insets to match the roof.

It's an easy way to tell if a convertibles top color has been changed from new as well.

In the photo below is the tag from another 75 convertible.
That tag shows: 52 11R  PNT Bombay Yellow with white top and moldings.

One of three suffixes were used with the color code for the upper structure of the car.

R = Roof (Convertible)
T = Vinyl Top
U = Upper Color (painted roof)

Vinyl/convertible roof colors generally weren't called by the full names given to the paint colors - so 11R was simply white convertible roof. The code 19T is black vinyl roof , not "Sable Black" vinyl roof.

As Dave says, body side moldings were color matched to the roof color - painted on Eldorado; on Fleetwood Brougham and DeVille d'Elegance, a different style molding was used with insert matched to vinyl roof color.
