One more clue (to the shiny rear-window trim question thread in the Cars-for-Sale topic) may come from the 1967 Cadillac sales manual. Shiny rear-window trim may have been a part of the "Body Styling, exclusive" or the "Stainless Steel Rocker Panel Molding" line items. The sales manual does not break those down further.

As far as California exclusivity goes, there was the obvious addition of A.I.R. for the California-bound vehicles. Maybe there were other CA-specific mods as well -- 25% of the 1967 Eldorado production went to Southern California, after all -- but I've never seen any mention of CA-specific exterior body options.

Lots of meaningless "features" were hyped on cars back then (and still today), so the mention of exclusive body styling is worthless.
