I just got a friends car out of storage for him. The brake lights don't work unless the directional are on. I'm guessing its the turn signal switch but looking for opinions. Step on the brakes and I get power at the column connector. turn the right directional on they work and left brake works and vice versa. I did a quick search and did not come up with a switch. Are they available?
Thanks, Jon

Yes, they can be had. I got one on eBay a while back. These are mechanical switches mounted under the floorboards activated by the brake pedal. Not connected to the brake system hydraulics. See photo.
