passenger side parking light

Does anyone know how to fix the parking light
It has power and will light if I put a ground wire directly to light socket.
But how do I ground it???

Sounds like there is corrosion at the junction of the light socket and the light surround.

May be necessary to solder a ground to the socket and then run that to the body, even under the head of the Park Light attaching screw/bolt.

Forgot to mention that in most cases, the lamp holder is crimped to the lamp frame during manufacture, and over the years, it is possible for corrosion to get between the "joint", creating a poor electrical contact.
