I have a 39 LaSalle and have acquired a spare 322 engine. I Have a opportunity to purchase additional Carter WD-O carburetor's and was wondering what the price should be on a good rebuildable core. This is part of an estate and there are ten to be looked at. I thought of one spare between the two engines I have. Any ideas?

If you can get all ten of them cheaply enough, you might see if you could do so and sell them yourself. People in an estate situation sometimes don't like having "weird" stuff to mess with and if you made an offer for all ten, you might come out ahead. Good luck.

Thank you for the reply. I do not want to offend anybody with a real low ball offer that is why I am trying to find a reasonable core price to offer. They looked in good shape and operational so?

I've seen core prices for complete carbs ranging from $50 to $100. A professional rebuild can be in the $300 neighborhood.     Harry

I looked around and requested 2 for the engines I have. I believe it was better to allow other people to have access. I have been able to find rebuild kits for them if the offer is accepted which is $50 each.
