Hello all,
I know this is an active topic at times and have read through the archives. But currently, can anybody please recommend a carburetor specialist? I have a '59 Rochester 4Jet 4GC which needs more attention than a cleaning and gasket replacement and beyond my paygrade.
Thank you!
Steve

There are no doubt going to be good carburetor shops nearer you in PA, but Daytona Parts in New Smyrna Beach, FL   https://daytonaparts.com/index.html   remains my go to place for expert carb work.

STEVE:  I very much recommend you getting in touch with HOBBS' CARURETOR SHOP, PELHAM, NH 03076.  TEL: 1-603-635-2415.  This shop is reliable and fair in all their dealings.  They rebuilt my 76 deville carb about 25 yrs ago, never been touched since and it runs perfectly today after many miles.  EAM

I've heard and read that Cliff Ruggles is the Quadrajet expert.

He's in Ohio.

 :)  I've heard that too, but here we're talking about a 1959 4GC.

Daytona Parts did my 1940 LaSalle and my Continental Mark II. Both of them came out spot on. The Holley carburetor on the Mark II had been worked on by other people at least three times with terrible results. The car barely ran.

Daytona knew enough to tell me that the carb had the wrong jets in it. It is perfect now.

I highly recommend these people.

Thank you all for your replies. After receiving multiple referrals (here and offline), I decided to send the carb to Daytona Parts.
Thanks! Steve

good to hear that Daytona is doing carbs again. I thought they closed. Dave

They never closed but (as I remember) said they would no longer do show car carb. restorations (I can't tell the difference) because of the time it took from their very busy business.  Don't know if they have backed off on that or not but they still are, and have been, in business --- one of the best.

Hi all, as a followup, I'm writing to report that I received my carburetor back from Daytona Carburetors. They did a great job cleaning and servicing the unit. Their service rep/ tech Tim was very patient and articulate in describing how to setup the carb to my car. My car is runs great and is back on the road. And now, I'm anticipating what may be the next service project... hopefully it will only be filling the fuel tank!
Thank you all for your recommendations and help.
Safe travels, Steve
