Little did I know that all I had to do was mention we where entertaining the thought of buying this car to a family member " brother in law" who   with my sister recently retired to St. George, and lives a couple of miles down the road from use, it had slipped my mine that he was born and raised in Canton, Oh.in which he still has a few buckeye alumni friends, he made a couple of calls and one of them lives 20min. or so from the car, where he meet with seller and well.. I'm the proud owner of a 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood brougham, fly in, drive her home.

I wanted to wait till we "the wife and I" start our journey home and then post photos of car and road trip, but I'm pretty excited to have purchased this fine example of Cadillacs' "on going efforts to produce an outstanding car" for its time as well as the present!

This well be the wife's car, so I'm pretty much the pit crew, mechanic, GO-Pro "camera operator" and detailing guy, on this trip, thank goodness for the turn by turn navigation on "her" cell phone on the road trip home, once home, I'll just be the care taker of this "WHAT I THINK" to be a very fine example of what Cadillac represents. Sure she's not my 62, nor the 79 Fleetwood Brougham d'Elegance or even the 81 CDV, but boy what a car, a LT1 motor with one of GM most impressive and well thought out drivetrains, wrapped in a Cadillac body.

Just some advice, A/C hardly ever needs just a recharge in my experience. Good thing is a 1996 is a R134 system.

Only once did I get lucky and the juries still out on a 1999 Buick Lesabre which is my daily driver.

Every other A/C car I has eventually lost it. From my 1966 CDV to my 1996 Olds with 9500 miles. Get ready to fix the A/C.

I got lucky with a few cars and they were still blowing cold after 9 years or 7 years but I think I got a leak now in both. Usually the compressor leaks or gets noisey. Hopefully when they go they do not damage the rest of the system and contaminate it.

I even run them just to use them in the cold weather if I am able. But I love the comment it just needs a recharge.

Thank you Nick! Much appreciated, Wasn't thinking about the holiday and all, asking for eyes in that area at that time etc... Just knew I had to jump quick on it, but the owner is a good person and was very accommodating, with the holiday that was drawing near at that time and all! It worked out well. Thanks again!
