1956 wiper motor vacuum readings

Since I was discussing my vacuum booster pump in another thread I thought I´d record the vacuum readings of my wiper system.
Maybe someone can help to pin down if it´s just the vacuum booster pump that is not working quite right or the wiper motor itself?

Here´s what I got:

1. booster pump 8" at idle; 9" if revved up, 9" when throttle let snap shut.
2. wiper motor 15" at idle; 8" revved; 18 snap shut
3. intake manifold 15" idle; 18" revved*; 22" snap shut

*The intake manifold vacuum drops down to around 8" for a wink before peaking at 18" when revving up.

Wiper motor works at idle and stops as soon as the gas pedal is touched slightly. Washer system is blocked due to leak in diaphragm (coordinator permanently engaged).

I´d like to rule out a bad wiper motor before pulling the oil pan and having the rotary vacuum booster pump restored

Thanks for posting this. I i just  got my 52 Cdv wiper working well for the first time attached to manifold vacuum.

And after one day of celebration, the passenger  side cable snapped. Or better yet, the butt connector used to join the snapped cable snapped again.

Now im looking for correct cables for passenger side...
