I have a 57 Eldorado Seville and want to paint my valve covers.  I have searched the forum about the gold paint but all the posts are relatively old.  Are there any products out there that are readily available to paint my valve covers the correct gold color?  Maybe products that are new since 2016 or so?  I saw that Bill Hirsch has the best blue paint for the engine, but he has nothing for the valve covers.  Help would be appreciated.  Ken

The following is a long ago post from a member who is in  the automotive paint supply business:

“The gold color found on the 55-57 Eldorado engine valve covers and air cleaners is BASF# 22156. This color is actually from a 1992 Chrysler color code HY2. It is the closest formulated match I have found to date. This is a basecoat clearcoat formula.”
