Just curious, what are the 1940 Cadillac coupe series 60 grill made of? Can you re connect/repair broken bars on the grill? Any and all info would help!

I suspect cast aluminum, or pot metal.  Depending on how bad it is maybe brazing, but I would have a welder take a look at it.

The grill is a pot metal casting. The chrome shops repair them so it can be done. Be very careful and do research before you have a chrome shop restore your grill. Not all can do such an intricate piece correctly.
