FOR A CADILLAC 1926 TOURING,
WHAT IS THE BEST MODERN MATERIAL TO USE FOR THE INTERIOR OF TOP PADS?
THIS MATERIAL IS SURELY USE FOR MANY OTHER CARS OF THOSE YEARS.
THANKS.

Poly foam is what is used today. It’s the type of foam that’s under glued in head liners*. I have actually seen the headlining material used as top pads.

* headlining material has an exposed (colored or textured) lightweight fabric fused to a thin layer of poly foam. Typically seen since the 1970’s in Cadillacs.
