Question? What is the difference in the 1940 Cadillac series 60 frontend compared to the 1940 series 75 frontend? I know I've counted the bars on the grill its two different sizes. Past that I'm not sure. Any and all info helps thanks.

Not only are there more bars on the grille as you have rightly noticed, but almost everything else is different, too. The sheet metal parts are, but, more important, the front axle is absolutely different. It is much stronger, as is the whole of the frame, there are better and stronger shock absorbers on the 75 and the steering is of quite a different kind, also.
Assuming that you have a 60 model, don't hope to use many parts from a 75. Attached a picture of a 75 front axle, restored and almost complete to compare with your 60 one.

Thank you for the information sir. I apologize  the sheetmetal is what i was asking about. Are the fenders the same? We know the grill is not. Is the hood the same? I would assume a grill with more bars means the skirts on the sides with the vents in them are taller?
Thank you

Basically these are completely different cars so the interchange is minimal.  The side grilles and the headlight buckets are the same but that is about it.  The hood, hood sides, headlight bucket mounting panel, bumpers, fenders, etc. are different.  Dash hardware is the same but the sheet metal is not.  The sidemount hinges are the same I think.  The chrome vents on the hood sides are the same.
What are you looking for on your 40-60S?  the 60S is very different from the 62 series also but there is some interchange but not much.  Hood and fenders are different but the front bumper on the 62 is the same as the 60S front and back.
