If you were to look at Cadillacs right now on the Hemmings site, you could compare two 1935 coupes. One looks low and sleek, the other not so much. Is the difference only in the longer wheelbase of the red car? Further down there are a few more coupes and two-seater convertibles from the same year or close to it. They all look TALL, like cars of the era. So what’s up with that single sleek example in red and black (currently in France, and seemingly the best priced of the lot). I have no interest in any of these cars except as noted here â€" a comparison of their appearance.

Could very well be the position of the Camera.   Or the lens that was used?

Creative photography?

The first picture is taken low and really close, which would exaggerate the length, whereas the second one was pictured from higher, and to the front quarter, with the car in the distance.

I suppose it could also be the color of the car.  Some colors are more "flattering" than others,  plus the first one is a two tone car, breaking up its appearance.

The proportions of the cars look similar to me.  It's the camera angle (I think).
