Can we try this? A GoFundMe of sorts

Most of you probably know that I sell the Calendars for the CLC Museum & Research Center.  Janutol Printing of Detroit Michigan generously prints and donates 500 calendars to be sold with 100% of proceeds going to the Museum.   

This year we had the calendars in hand a couple months early and many orders have gone out but we still have a good quantity of calendars unsold.  It seems orders are down a bit from previous years and not sure if its 'because COVID' or just because a lot of people don't buy them as much these days. 

Every year at the CLC Grand National during the Wednesday Reception, which itself is usually sponsored generously by Cadillac/GM, the Museum hosts a Silent and Live Auction which features some really cool and fun stuff and occasionally a Cadillac.  And for the past many years, since the Museum identified the Gilmore Museum campus as the location for their building, a Fall Festival Show with Tours has been held in September. 

Unfortunately, these events were cancelled which meant loss of proceeds from both venues - funds which are used to cover the ongoing vehicle insurance, plus maintenance and operating costs for the Museum Building. 

Going back to the calendars we still have for sale, I've always thought of them as a great way for people to help support the Museum at a nominal cost plus have the benefit of looking at great cars all year long. 

If we were to set a goal of 150 calendars to be sold in the next two weeks that would mean $2250 to the Museum Operating Funds -- do you think we could do it? I do!!   Especially considering all the events you did not attend last summer with your cars, the car show entry and registration fees you didn't pay, the hotel and restaurant expenses not incurred and so on. 

These are some of the faces and fins of the CLC Museum cars who want and need your donations!!!!  For only $.04* a day you can support them and make sure they continue to enjoy their time at the CLC Museum Building in Hickory Corners, Michigan.  These cars are counting on YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!
