Hi, can someone tell me the proper way to remove the power window switches from the drivers door on a 1953 Cadillac. I was able to get the back side out but something is holding the front side. I do not want to pry to hard and break something. Thankyou

you have to remove the garnish rail completely from the door. then unscrew all the wires. then with a small screwdriver, push the tabs out on both ends of switch housing and push the assembly out carefully. the switch assembly can be removed from the chrome escutheon by used a very small screwdriver or icepick to gently slide the 4 clips out.Dave
