Well, I sold my 59 Black Flat Top Sedan de Ville to a good friend and another 59 shortly found me.  Here is Rose, a 1959 Fleetwood Sixty Special finished in # 98 Persian Sand with # 65 Fawn interior.  She has A/C, Tinted Glass, Fog Lamps, 6 Way Seat and Power Trunk.  She has been off the road since 1984 covered up in the garage.  Looks like it's time to awaken another sleeping giant.

a real beauty and looks to be in very good condition!!!  Is it all original?

Rose is BEAUTIFUL.   Please provide us with some history... apparently been carefully saved from ravages of the weather and rodents.   That is surely a huge commitment on the part of the previous owner(s).   Looking forward to more Rose narratives.   James

Nice, very nice.  I've always loved the '59 Fleetwoods.  When I was a kid working in an auto parts store there was an old guy who drove a black one.  I remember the black paint was waxed through and the red primer was showing in spots but I still had to go out and admire it.  the year was probably 1971.

Every one of my coworkers thought I was crazy to even notice it.  Back then for them it was all about the Camaros and Mustangs.  But then again my first hot rod was when I was sixteen-- a 1936 Ford slant back.  I've never owned a Camaro or Mustang.

Thank you for the positive responses everyone!  I'm picking her up this weekend.  She is about 100 miles away in a former CLC member's estate.  He acquired her in 1969 and she got one lacquer respray in 1982.  I'm really excited to get this one going.

Hello Jim

You are a Smart Collector. This 6029M with the Accessories is a good upgrade from your 6339B. Additionally, Paint #98 Persian Sand is an uncommon color for this model/year. Kudos!

Well, she got her first bath in years and is now in my driveway for tinkering time.  She runs off of starting fluid and radio, all lights, windows, seat and power trunk work.

Squirt gasoline in the carb., if you must, to get or keep her running --- you will pay dearly for overuse of starting fluid.
