Removing Door and Trunk Lock Cylinders 1930's and 1940's

Not even the oldest locksmith in town knows how to service the lock cylinders on these old cars. Ordering replacement lock cylinders from eBay vendor autonut2, Doug Vogel offers the following illustration with instructions.

Adding to our knowledge base a picture of the 1940 Series 75/90 disassembled trunk lock. Needed serious WD-40 to free up the lock cylinder and shaft. I am considering replacing the tiny 1/16" pin with a cotter key.
