This was included with my car. Emblems appear to be missing but does the unit appear to be correct?

This the second heater among 3 that were offered in 1940.  This one is the "Ventilating Defroster Heater" and requires a vent assemble on the right cowl side.  The standard heater had a cover over the section where the duct comes in and no outside air vent.  The third heater was the underseat heaters with a defrosting only heater up front.  The first two heaters had one type of switch and the underseat heater had a all chrome switch with 3 little toggle switches on it.  The heater should have a Cadillac sign on it.

Each door should have a plastic handle also. With the right switch, The heater motor reverses to blow heat or blow air to the windshield for defrosting.

Excellent info gentlemen. This car was likely delivered in WI so a defroster would be a very handy thing.
