I'm seeing multiple postings on Facebook that Bob Crimmins has died.
No details mentioned but it appears as though it was sudden.
Bob was a very dedicated club member and will be missed.

Came as a complete shock when I got the news yesterday afternoon. A great loss to the CLC and all who knew him.

Rest in Peace Bob.

I was showing Bob my "ahooga" horn I keep ready to sound for anyone new to my garage.
He was a kid at heart!

Yesterday I learned the very sad news that the CLC Chapters VP Bob Crimmins had passed away.  Bob helped guide me through the process to form the 63/64 Cadillac Chapter back in 2011 and has been helpful every step of the the way as we push our Chapter forward.  Beyond the Chapter, I got to meet and know Bob as a fellow Cadillac enthusiast and friend over the course of several Grand Nationals. He was funny, friendly, full of fantastic stories, sharp as a tack and just an all around fantastic fellow Cadillac enthusiast.  I always looked up to him as a mentor but also valued his friendship. The ultimate honor for me was when he visited my home and attended our National Virtual Winter Board Meeting. When the board meeting started Bob was going to sit over on the side of my office area, and I said "No way, you are sitting in my Captain's Chair!"  and I moved to the side. It was just a fun day, and again an honor to have him particiate in his last CLC board meeting from my home office. He was a HUGE asset to the Cadillac LaSalle Club and will be dearly missed.  Bob was 84 years old and was told he died in his garage with his cars.  He lived a full life and think we could all aspire to follow in his footsteps.

Bob and Jeff Montgomery would routinely travel from New Jersey to the Potomac Region car shows at Capitol Cadillac in Greenbelt, MD, as well as other events from time to time. They would also attend the post car show dinners before catching their northbound train home. Many fond memories of Bob, who was always ready with a joke and a great story.  His presence brightened events.  Below he is pictured front left in the white shirt with Jeff beside him and other CLC dignitaries at the 2013 Grand National in Quincy, Massachusetts. RIP, Bob.

I did not know Mr. Crimmins, but I am saddened to hear this news. If I had been active in the local chapter, I would have met him, since I am from the same area.  looked him up, and seeing one of the photos of his 55 CdV rounding a turn at an intersection, I recognized the spot immediately. It's only a couple of miles from my house. One of the photos of his Eldorado has an older elementary school in the background, that looks an awful lot like the one I attended in my childhood in Colonia, NJ. My condolences to his family, and all those who knew him.

Bob was one of my best friends in the CLC and my local chapters. As well as the Fall Festival, always in attendance, sought me out when I won and lost and I will be forever grateful for his friendship. This makes 3 close club friend for me this year. Unbearably painful in the scheme of things. God speed Bob, you will always be missed and I count you as one of the greatest friends I ever had.

Very sad to hear.  I thought about him today as his red '55 Eldorado
was featured in the Self Starter I just received.
