I want to replace the EGR unit to address a surging issue. Attached to the EGR is an Exhaust Pressure Transducer. I have not been able to find this part.
I am looking for advice on testing this unit to see if it is functioning or a replacement part that will work. N. Scarpa.

Waldo Du Toit wrote this article about how he rebuilt the transducer
(which always seems to have broken), for the Self Starter.  Good
luck actually finding a good one.

I removed the above from my 79 and put on a simple system
from an Olds V8.  You might also want your ECU checked,
which I do for free if you cover transport.

Thank you for the article and the information. This will be very helpful.
Also, thanks for the offer about the ECU, not there yet.

The timing chain set could need replacement, if the original
cam sprocket with plastic teeth has not been replaced.
