I am looking for some help with the pin striping on my 1976 Eldorado Convertible.
My car does not have the factory pin striping on the front hood (extends to front doors).

I am looking for a template or the pattern or some measurements??  Is there any
guide or directions for the original, factory pin stripping?  I have a great guy to do
the work, we just need to know exactly what to do!!
Thank you!!

There was a Service Roundtable? for the striping on the 1971 Eldorado.  I don't know if the striping is 100% correct for a '76 though.

Most eldo's I have seen have two pinstripes on the hood, each one has a thin top layer and a thicker bottom, so it is a typical dual-stripe seen on most caddys of this era. They each go around the lines of the hood that are raised and if I remember correctly the top stripe continues beyond  the rear-view mirror to the door body line.  The stripe is at door handle height and terminates in a point a few inches before the door handle. There are many variations of this stripe that extended onto the rear quarter, but this is  the most common (and most tasteful IMO) I have seen. Typically this stripe reflected the interior colors. Hope this helps.

The stripes in 76 for the Eldorado are as described below.
Two on the hood, one on the door.
None on the rear quarter or trunk lid.

See the photos attached.   On the hood photo you can see how the thicker stripe is on the top of the upper stripe and the thicker stripe is on the bottom of the lower stripe.     The top stripe ends at the rear of the hood.   The lower stripe continues onto the door ending just at the end of the door.  See photos.

I seem to remember more than one factory pin stripe scheme.
I'll try to dig out my dealer data book with photos of the models and maybe some written info.
