First I'd like to thank all who post here. I have sorted many issues on our 69 De Ville with info gathered here. We have owned Cadillacs forever it seems. It all began in the SF Bay Area Sept. 1958 when new neighbors moved in next door owning a white 1957 Coupe De Ville. Within two weeks of their arrival the dad came home in a red over red 59 Deville convertible. I was hooked! I recall when sitting in the back seat the tail fins were higher than my 4th grade head! Over the decades that followed I was always attracted to vintage Cadillacs. An ex-wife which worked for the local Cadillac dealer in the 70's did nothing to curb my enthusiasm for the cars. In 2013, while being Cadillac-less, I received a phone call about a 69 Sedan Deville 4 door hardtop an acquaintance discovered in a garage in Salem Oregon. The car was stored there by the original owner 18 years earlier. She was now 93 and in a care facility. She and her husband purchased the car new in New Jersey and moved to Oregon in 1973 bringing the car with them. On aa side note our good friends told us their brother-in-law worked at the dealership which sold the car during the time period it was purchased. Small world. We negotiated a non-running price with the estate exec and 4 months later it arrived at our home in SoCal. A quick spin of the oil pump with an electric screw gun, a new ignition condenser with some fresh gas and she fired on the third attempt. Everything worked! I was ecstatic! Since then it has been repainted (#10 Black) the vinyl top has been replaced along with four new whitewall tires and the front seat cushion on the driver's side was recovered with original fabric from SMS Fabrics. My wife says it is like driving your living room down the road. We have since moved to south Texas and the humidity wreaks havoc on he old AC system which has been converted to 134 refrigerant. We drive it in the evenings mostly during summer just to keep it up and running. Looking forward to the day I can get the AC to blow cold as it should.

No sir. Those were on it for one night for a hot rod cruise night. Here is a current picture of the car with parade flags in place and a picture of my 68 from 1992.
