50 Cad Clock Repair

I'm working on the clock for my 1950 Cad (Series 61). I've worked on a lot of mechanical clocks, but not a car clock. I find this clock pretty cool. Mechanical, but electrically wound. Does anybody have any advise before I get too far into this? I need to remove the hands, are they just friction fit? I don't want to pry until I know for sure.

The ones that I have seen are pressed on. 

Interesting find for my car:  the clock was unplugged before it went into 30 year storage,  I plugged in the clock power and viola!  it works.

Clock repairers often use 2 jaw style tiny pullers to remove friction fitted hands. Whatever you do, be careful not to bend the arbour during removal. Clay/Lexi

Thanks for the input! That's what I expected. I'm not in a hurry so I'll probably pick up a hand removal tool. I don't want to risk bending the arbor, or scratching the face. I'll post back to let you know how it turns out.
