Hello All,
I'm completely new to this forum and I would appreciate any assistance offered in response to this post.
I recently purchased a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible with approximately 52,000 miles.  It's in pretty good shape but it has a transmission leak (probably more than one) and the steering is really "loose".
I would appreciate it if anyone could recommend a good shop in the Greater Boston area (preferably North Shore but will travel for the right shop).  I don't do any mechanical work and would like to rectify both situations in the fall or over the winter months.
Thank you,
Mike

You ought to join the New England Region of the Cadillac LaSalle Club.  They should be able to help you.

Just for transmission, I *JUST* had my tranny completely overhauled by Bob at Transmission Specialists, again down here on
the Cape. He does a lot of old cars and specializes in the TH400.  +1 508 790 1880
Again no website as they don't need to advertise.

Thank you both very much.  The plan is to join the Cadillac LaSalle Club and I will keep in mind both places down the Cape.

Yes, join the club, the monthly magazine is worth the cost of membership. And you did say North Shore, (I'm originally from Meffa), there's Peter Manoogian, he's in Saugus I think, someone else to talk to. He's on Facebook, you can poach him off my friends list. BTW, nice car.

Hey guys, I just bought a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible and joined the Cadillac LaSalle Club.  I live in Boston and am am looking for recommendations for someone to replace the top on my car.  I did a google search, but most of the 30 companies that came up are either out of business or won't touch a 1970's Cadillac scissor top.  I am also looking for a good mechanic to do some (hopefully) minor work.
Thanks JMPCH
