It's been a little slow here lately, I'd like to hear everyone's favorite car for each decade and why, if you have a reason.  You can only pick ONE per decade.  You know, no room to store the extras....  But do list the close 2nd choices below your list if you are struggling with your choice.

I not too familiar with early cars, so I'll start in the 1930s.

1934 Lasalle coupe.  Just awesome styling.

1949 fastback coupe.  Cool styling, I like the rear window and first year of the overhead valve engine.

1953 Eldorado.  Love the low windshield.

1960 Eldorado Biarritz.  59 was too gaudy and in '60, it was basically the same but toned down a bit.

1970 Deville Convertible.  Good parts availability and no air pump on the 472.

1980s.  Pass.

1999 Eldorado.  Always liked that body style.

2009 XLR.  They finally got the Northstar engine figured out by then.

2019 XTS.  Always liked the body style, but I hear the mechanics of them are somewhat unreliable. won't own one.

Honorable mentions:

Maybe an early to mid 1930s coupe with a V16 engine.

I'd like to own a '74 Talisman, love the four bucket seats, but the open car wins out over this closed car.

What are your favorites?

Like mine.

PS.   But, that also goes for any car that I buy.

Love some of the stately 40's models

Owned and loved two '56's-- with A/C -- great passenger cabin-- lovely appointments and wonderful, formal presence-- still a stand out

Owned and loved my '61 convertible,(top down, warm summer night, and viewing those tail lights inthe rear view mirror-- WOW) and always admired the '63 Fleetwood

Owned a '65 -- wish I owned a 65 FLeetwood-- in many respects, among the best

Owned a '67 sdv--- lovely formal sedan

Owned a '67 Eldo--- super car-- loved it-- had it for 8 years -- odometer stopped working a 139K after 4

Owned a 70 SDV-- very nice-- classic look-- quiet and totally pampered in this one

Owned a 72 Eldo convertible-- very  different from the 67-- durable and great ride-- like sitting in a movie theatre and watching the scene at a distance

Owned several '76-78 models in FLorida-- great cars, durable, and never broke down

Owned 5 different  1980's model 4100 cars... loved my 2 convertible Eldos, (but those engines!-- sad stories)

Owned 2 late 90's Eldos--- loved the design, my 92 had fabulous seats-

Owned an Allante 90+--  did not like the wind noise, but fun car

Own a SRX--(2006 Car and Driver's car of the year)-- great ride, but looks somewhat dated now

Own an XLR-- fabulous machine and extraordinary ride-- totally impractical
