I am looking for the starter motor support bracket for my 1970 Deville pn#1489420.

If no bites, try "Cadillac Heaven"

79 Eldorado

Tony,
I was curious to know what it looked like. Sometimes brackets can be really complicated. I found an aftermarket site for a "starter support strap" bracket for 472 / 500 Cadillac and it looks pretty simple. It's also available. I'll provide the link but if it doesn't work I'll give you some search terms:
https://cadillacperformance.com/product/ds20131/

I am not familiar with the site but maybe others are. They call it "DS20131 Starter Support Strap". They do list a phone number and it's $29 on their site. They wouldn't be difficult to make but by the time you go through the effort it would be better to spend the $29.

From their site "If you are missing this support strap, your starter nose cone can break from even a minor kickback from the big 472 / 500 engine. It can even fail eventually without a kickback problem.
If you are missing the original starter support bracket, you need...
