It's not mine, but anyone looking for one of these "conversions", here it is.  I guess I don't know what they're called.

;)

And a couple of pics in case it gets scooped up fast!  $7,900.00 is the ask.

Be hard getting a load of sand or loam out of the back of it with a floor like that.

This is a clumsily-done conversion.  The rear window treatment and the side-rails are low-budget, poorly designed, and poorly executed.  Not to metion the unfinished rear floor. The "tailgate" area also looks crude and unfinished. The stunt motorcyclist Evel Kneival had at least two of these, and they were done "properly" with a flat, finished floor, slanted C pillars, and an El Camino-style rear window.

Moreover, the factory body-side stainless trim is missing, the wheel-well and skirt trim are missing, and even though this "conversion" was based upon a Calais model, this "conversion" would have benefitted greatly from the addition of the DeVille rocker moulding trim.

It's a '76 for starters and that abomination is known as a "Cowboy Cadillac".

Only in Texas. The builder? has been standing in the sun waaay too long!

That's a home made conversion of a Calais coupe.    And not a well done one at that.

Back then three companies were converting Coupe deVilles and Calais Coupes.
Caribou, Mirage and McClain.   This isn't any of those.

I think it all started with, "Hold my beer and watch this."

Lol, that ersatz bull skull on the grill may symbolize 'life and prosperity' but I think it really symbolizes the 'death and destruction' of the car.

Certainly looks like an ugly "homemade" conversion.
One of Evel's Caribous is in a museum in Branson, Missouri (last I knew).  A picture of it below.
The '73 Caribou I restored (pic #2 below) won first in Class at the Boston GN (held in Quincy) and was pictured in the CLC calendar a few years ago.  The car is now being enjoyed by my brother-in-law and when he is ready to sell it, I will buy it back --- should I live long enough.   :)

See, you guys gotta look at the plusses on this car.  The trunk appears "solid".

;D

And, for a lot less, you can have the same thing as Evel had.  And you get the horns.
