Hello. I have a 1979 Cadillac Coupe Deville with the EFI option. The injectors are nice and clean and working properly now and back in the car.  It runs better now.  I decided to take a break from working on the engine and now I'm working on the power windows.  The passenger side window is very sluggish going up.  I took the window assembly and motor out.  Two of the rollers were completely frozen so I sprayed them with WD-40 and grease them and was able to get them to spin.  I checked the ground wire and also the voltage going to the motor.  I'm getting 11.99 volts.  I even ran a ground wire from the motor to the negative battery post and problem is still there.  When I operate the window in the up position I can stop it by pulling down on it with my hand.  I can do this on the driver side as well but it takes a lot more force to stop the window from moving up.  I am almost certain it's not the rollers or the window channel.  I also grease the pivot point on the window regulator.  I suspect it may be the motor.  Also the driver side window goes up very very fast.  Almost too fast.  Not sure why.  Does anyone have any method for testing the window motor to see if it's just tired and needs to be replaced?  Also, why does the driver side window go up so fast.  Thanks.  Eddie Cressy

Window motors get "tired" and usually before
They quit entirely they get lazy. Time for a new motor.
