Ain't nobody gonna learn anything from that video.   ;)

Except a 180 out distributor.

Nice paint on the oil pan and valley cover.  Wow.  Too bad he had to start it.

Thanks for posting it, very cool!

I really enjoyed watching the time lapse.

Some need to relax and watch it for what it is.

It is not a learning exercise, it is humor.

I have to paint my oil pan and covers!

Relax...

There's an entire series of videos on that engine rebuild on Hagerty's website.  Visit https://www.hagerty.com/media/video-episodes/?series=redline-rebuild and scroll down the page to Season 5.  It's not a complete this-is-EVERYTHING-you-need-to-know type of series, but they do a good job of showing the rebuild process and how to assemble the engine.  And they'll show you a lot of their screw-ups, too.

They generally do the time-lapse video at the end of each rebuild as a project wrap-up.

Did you miss the  ;)  <wink>  at the end of the sentence?

John,

Thanks, for the educational nudge.

And getting past the emoji decryption.

My guess would be that if you asked 100 off the street people they would not know how a combustion engine works, let alone be able to get close to knowing what the parts look like that makes it work.

Have fun,

But...they said it was a 365 rebuild, not a 390. Get it straight, will ya!  ;D

I prefer the "old way".   A bunch of friends stand around drinking beer and watch as it's happening.   No video evidence required or desired.

I could not help thinking about the origin of the replacement parts as that lifter hit the pan in slow-mo, I was like 'Nooo, you are gonna put parts in from Ch-, er, the exotic Far East!' Noooo.

Maybe because I'm getting close to my expiration date - or best buy date, let's stop hiding and just come out and say what we think.
No hiding behind code words - word segments - nit picking - decrypto rings required.

Fishnjim - Hell Ya.

Wrench - Yep NOOOO.

John - good stuff, even if a flathead - educational.

KOKNEELDO - cuts to the chase - perceptive.

jeff - expands the intent with more.

Have fun,

I know a lot of things are made in China these days but I just replaced my lifters in my 64 Coupe de Ville with Made in USA Melling Lifters.  I know they produce some of their product in Mexico but believe most is still produced in the USA.
