Did the 1939 LaSalle have a floor shifting transmission shifter or was it column shifting?

Bruce Berghoff- CLC #1476

Bill... Floor shift ended with the 1937 models and column shift on Cadillac and LaSalle was introduced beginning on the 1938 models. Your next investment should be Matt Larson and Ron Van Gelderens "LaSalle - Cadillacs Companion Car" and you can be answering these questions for a very nominal fee .... and LOTS OF ENJOYMENT !  BB

Indoody Deedy, bruce, AND if you havent the Holls-Lamm book: "A Century Of Automotive Style", its like having an arm missing. Amazon has the book at about 40 bucks, and worth every penny.
