On a couple of the edge trim profiles on my un restored running board, there are a few indentations that make me feel that there was a step tread or other similar arrangement on the running board. Most photos I have seen of restored 28s & 29s show a flat rubber surface on the running boards. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject. Pictures would be a big help.
