I seem to have alot of play in the steering wheel of my 1984 eldo fwd,what do you think is worn??? THANK YOU   Tommy

Tommy,
Thinking about your car and problem, the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that your car is 20 years old.
You did not state the mileage or if the problem came-on suddenly or over time.
There are a lot of things that can cause play in the steering system.
1. The tie-rods can be worn.
2. The upper and/or lower ball-joints can be worn.
3. The rack can be loose (where it bolts to the frame).
4. The rubber-disc in the steering shaft might be bad.
5. The U joint in the steering shaft may be worn.
6. The Rack may need to be adjusted.
