I bought a lense off of e-Bay part #5957397 says Guide 68 on one side. I bought this as a NOS 66 lense I think I have been had and its for a 68. Am I correct?

The years are not always the same as the model year. However, for that year,68,it probably is. The would also look different. 66 had less lines in the optics as it stood alone. The 66 was behind a chrome grill if I recall.
