Can anyone tell me what year the temporary{small spare tire} was a standard feature on the full size RWD Broughams.Thanks.

My 81 has one.  A real spare wont even fit where the spare goes in the trunk.

   Lars,
Good hearing from ya. A friend just bought an 88 Brougham which has a full size spare tire in trunk, so we were curious about the spare. Thanks. See ya in Des Moines in about a month if not sooner. Have a great day. Thanks again.Driving my 91 there.

Hello Doug,

My 94 Fleetwood Brougham has one of those cheap little donut spares.  A full size spare was an option.

Pesronally, I do not see how these donuts can be legal...

Actaully since they are smaller than normal, they weigh less. This saves fuel. This helps the factory meet CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards. Therefore the d**n things are virtually mandated by the feds. Contact your Congress Critter!
