Does Anybody know where the air pump for the rear air shocks are located on a 1999 DeVille base model?  I want to chek it before I replace my shocks.

Under the right rear, just inboard from the wheel. Wear eye protection.

If its the air strut that's bad, they are very expensive from GM.
Do a google or ebay search for Arnott replacements. Excellent quality and only $300 or so for the pair.

You need a large Allen or torx socket for he top of the shock, it will just spin if you try to undo just the nut.  If you didn't know that I just saved you an hour.

I certainly hope not.
I don't usually look at the original posting date. If it says "new" I just assume its new.
