Eugene Island is an underwater mountain located about 80 miles off the coast of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico. In 1973 oil was struck and off-shore platform Eugene 330 erected. The field began production at 15,000 barrels a day, then gradually fell off, as is normal, to 4,000 barrels a day in 1989, Then came the surprise; it reversed itself and increased production to 13,000 barrels a day. Probable reserves have been increased to 400 million barrels from 60 million. The field appears to be filling from below and the crude coming up today is from a geological age different from the original crude, which leads to the speculation that the world has limitless supplies of petroleum.

Shhhh! If the mass media got ahold of this it would destroy the oil companys infrastructure. And the greenies would have a cardiac trying to dispell this science and replacing it with the "generally accepted theory" that we have all been living by much to the benefit of oil companies and govenments the world over.

And David Suzuki, Canadas Chief Greenie, would go into fits and tirades indicative of his brainwashed theories of global warming.

We have plenty of oil, the oil companies shares of stock have skyrocketed with their mega profits. There is no shortage of gasoline or heating oil, only much higher prices. Granted local shortages in the hurricane stricken areas, of course, the infrastructure is down, shipping, etc.

We do need more refineries though. These N.A. hurricanes are nothing new, just an excuse for the greenies to spout off and claim global warming is the cause.

GM is way off base with the hydrogen car, go figure. Maybe that is the new conspiracy they will force down our throats, I doubt it is their decision only to go that route.

And these silly hybrid cars, a fad.

I dont have a problem with the electric car for local use, heres a good story.

Based on the fact that it was subsidized by US government, and the subsidy ran out.
