Does any body have a parts book that can identify what distributor iVE GOT IN MY 1950?? The number on the distributor is 1110819 OH4. The number on the vacuum advance is 1116047. Ive bought a number of rotors and a new cap over the last couple of years that were supposedly for a 1950 331. Now that I come to install them, I find that none fit. Either Ive got the wrong parts from the vendors or the wrong distributor on the car!  Awhile back, I was talking with another owner of a 1950. He remarked that his was a late 1950 model, and some parts were actually 1951 part numbers (He didnt say which parts). My car was built in mid August of 1950....very late in the model year.
Or, possibly an older used distributor was put on the car at sometime in its past. It had a 49 style fuel pump on it when I got it. Anyway, I need to get a cap and rotor....but I m not sure what for. Could someone with a master parts book check 1110819 OH4 application for me please???
   Thanks......Joe Gibeault

Joe-in my electrical parts book,it states that your distributor number for 1950 is  1110819.The vacuum advance is  1116056.Your rotor is  1912768.Your dist cap is   1837974.

Hope this helps.

Joe. My oem 1952 issue United Service Motors book lists the following :

1950 dist #110879
Dist cap 1938-1950 #1837974
Rotor 49-50 #1912768
Condenser 1937-52 #1869704
Vacuum control advance 1949-51 #116056.

I have 3 49-50 spare dists here and one of mine has a vacuum advance #1116047 attached to it.

Im still checking the book for this application.

Thanks, Jack and Jeff, for taking the time to check those numbers! Both of your sources agree on the cap, rotor, and vacuum advance numbers.
The distributor that I have (1110819) is evidently correct, according to Jacks book. Maybe Jeff misread the second last digit as 7 instead of 1 in his book? Nevertheless, this was the most important information, so I can seek out the proper cap/rotor/points knowing that the year/ application is right.

My vacuum advance is the wrong one according to both books. But yet Jeff came across one like it (1116047) on one of his spares. Hmmmm.....

I believe the problem comes down to the replacement parts I bought were wrong or mislabeled. The physical shape/ size of the cap appears to be more like the aftermarket DR 62 cap (fits 51-55).
The rotors are evidently wrong, too, as they are too short of a radius for the existing cap.
I think Ill lay off buying swap meet crap and Ebay bargains for awhile!!!
Thanks for your help!!! Joe...

I stand corrected. 1100819 is the correct 1950 dist #
