Virgil Perkins #19943

Can anyone identify a master cylinder by the casting number? I have what resembles the mc on my 41 Cad, mounts the same, fittings are same but shape differs slightly in the rear. It is a Wagner Lockheed, casting # FD 4950. I am guessing that it is for a late 30s GM but would like to know actual application(s).
Thanks for any info, VP
