I would like to keep a spare waterpump on hand. As I look on Ebay I see lot of the waterpumps that look they would fit. Can someone tell me which years are interchangeable with a 1953 with a Hydro trans.  Thanks Ralph

Ralph,

According to the Master Parts Book, All years from 1949 thru 1956 will fit. Part # 363 0663. Some of these pump casings will have two threaded holes in the top. These were for the 54 Models. On the other years you just put a threaded plug in them. Some people are under the impression that they were for the 53 Models with the Dynaflow Transmission that has a cooler. This is NOT the case. Hope this helps.
