i have a 1955 cad that changes gear to early. i am in third gear in about 30 feet. i have tried adjusting the kickdown rod. i then replaced the kick down rod and tried again. i have put the twin carb setup on my car with a factory kickdown rod and it still changes too ealry. a little harsh going into 3rd gear  too.  2 gearbox shops have taken the lower cover off and had a look and all looks goo. no metal in the trans oil either. has anyone got any ideas, it has me stumped! you can email me to if you like, daf@webone.com.au
thanking you in advance
